In spite of their professed differences, both parties have been complicit- either by deliberate action or inaction- in the concentration of wealth and power in the hands of the few, and in the marginalization of the American Majority and its influence on Government policy.
The Two Party system polarizes the American Public into one of two camps- Republican or Democrat- intentionally dividing us in spite of our shared desires for things like affordable healthcare and education, protection of our precious natural resources, and an end to ongoing wars and overseas military actions.
Because neither party ever truly commits to representing the needs of the American Majority, voters are ensnared in a hopelessly frustrating cycle of replacing one party for the other from one election to the next, only to find that nothing seems to change in Washington. This is the ultimate result of the strangling effect of a Two Party system in democracy, and has kept the Republican-Democratic Party Leadership firmly entrenched with no real alternatives for voters seeking change.
This is precisely why the American Majority must fight back, by demanding an explicit Platform for Change and relentlessly hounding their elected officials to either agree to enact the reforms specified therein, or be replaced by newcomers to the political process who are willing to do so.
This is the strategy in a nutshell. It will take time but eventually, with enough pressure from the People, our elected officials will be forced to cave to our demands or be thrown out of office.
